Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and in assisted living facilities.

Duties:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help clients with mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation

Skills:

- Proficiency in using systems for documenting care activities
- Experience in behavior management techniques
- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism
- Familiarity with assisted living and nursing home environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality
- Previous experience in home care or senior care settings
- Competence in meal preparation for special dietary needs
